Friday at work we blew off the comp'ny cuffs for an hour and a half to go bowling because it was Adam Stern's birthday. He's our web development director and a fellow vibraphone enthusiast -- we bonded over symphonic percussion stories. It was just five of us: Shane (who grew up in Livingston and looks like a young Ira Glass), Dan, Adam, myself and our awesome intern Pam. Pam grew up slinging a Hello Kitty ball down the lanes. Back then, she had kitty-pink shoes and a bowling shirt to match, so I think it goes without saying that she blew us all out of the metaphorical water with her skills. We played two games, had a round of birthday shots, and finished it all out with some dancing and a quickdeath round of air hockey. {There is an ENTIRE mall + arcade inside Port Authority station, who knew?) I love Summer Fridays.
